Twickenham
Windsor Kindergarten is situated in a beautiful and quiet part of Twickenham with close proximity to York House Gardens, Marble Hill Park, River Thames and Eel Pie Island. It is situated close to local schools and operates from the Windsor and Parish Rooms of  St. Mary’s Church Hall.

The Kindergarten has access to a secure courtyard which is available to the children throughout the session.


Windsor Kindergarten is registered by Ofsted for 38 children ages 2 to 8 years. The morning session caters for 38 children and children are required to attend a minimum of three mornings. The afternoon session is kept deliberately smaller, catering for fourteen children and operates from the Parish Room with use of the outside play area. Children are required to attend a minimum of two afternoons. 

The morning session runs from 9.10 to 12.20 pm and the afternoon session from 1.15 pm to 4.20 pm. and operates during Richmond Upon Thames term times.


The Kindergarten layout
Througout the session children are encouraged to use both the indoor and outdoor areas.


The Indoor Area
Whilst inside children can take part in a wide range of activities which help them expand their skills and knowledge. Equipment and resources are easily accessible for child-initiated play and may include:

The outdoor area
The outdoor area supports and extends the learning offered inside. It is a place to use materials and resources in ways which are not possible indoors and above all it is a place to observe, explore and enjoy the natural world. For many children playing outdoors is the best environment to develop all areas of learning and to build confidence, independence and self-esteem. Activities may include :

•  Sand and Water
•  Sharing Books
•  Wheeled Toys

Weekly music sessions encourage children’s self expression and love of music through song, dance, movement games and instruments.









Each term, we go on outings to further enhance children’s learning. We might go out to post letters, do a traffic survey or go the farm to see how vegetables grow.
