Bonjour

On Thursdays children participate in music sessions which enables them to explore their musical ability through nursery rhymes, actions songs and instruments.

Every day children are encouraged to participate in physical play. This teaches children valuable skills such as teamwork and cooperation.
Every other week we offer cooking which provides excellent opportunities for ‘hands on experience’. We usually invite parents from a range of cultural backgrounds to join in cookery activities.
This supports children’s knowledge and understanding of the world by trying out new recipes and discussing cultural similarities and differences in the preparation of food.
Each term, we go on outings to further enhance children’s learning. We might visit the local park or take a trip to see how vegetables grow at a farm.
Stay and Play Sessions The Kindergarten organises Stay and Play the term before children start at the setting and are intended to provide a gentle introduction to the nursery. Parents/carers stay with the children during these sessions and are encouraged to share children’s play and join in with activities such as music, story and circle times.
